Do you wish you could play the saxophone? Are you struggling with embouchure, posture, or technique? Do you want to learn to read music? Would you like to join your school band or play with friends?
Learning to play the saxophone can be a very daunting task, not only does a student have to learn the basics of reading music, but he or she must also learn the proper way to use the instrument. One of the most frustrating hurdles that must be overcome for every beginning saxophonist is to learn proper embouchure and breathing techniques.
Saxophone students can expect to be exposed to a lot of different material, providing an opportunity to have a taste of different genres of music and ways of learning. We will spend time on reading, tone production, ear training, and improvisation.
We will spend time discussing good practice technique. Not only is it important to musical development that a student learns to set aside time to practice regularly, but there is a right way and a wrong way to practice effectively. This topic will be covered with all students to help them get the most out of private lessons.

Please contact me directly for more information regarding private saxophone lessons, or to set up your free 1-hour lesson. Students should bring their instrument and any required materials to each lesson, as well as any materials assigned by the instructor. If applicable, please bring a piece of music that best shows off your ability on the saxophone to your first lesson.
